Last week was WEIRD. Without going into too much detail, I had something happen in my personal life that I was not expecting at all and took up most of my free time.
Here’s a summary of the workouts I managed to squeeze in:
Tuesday, 1/17
The WOD was working up to your max-weight Turkish getup. I got through about 5 on each side—up to 35#—before I decided my hip couldn’t handle more. So I did 2 sets of 10 pushups, pullups and toes to bar, and worked on doubleunders.
Saturday, 1/21
20-minute AMRAP:
- 1 Rope Climb
- 400m Run or 500m row (or if you’re me and have a hip injury, 2 minutes of jump roping per round)
- Max Rep Handstand Pushups (I did 7 per set)
4 rounds + 1 rope climb + 30 seconds jumping
Sunday, 1/22
The WOD everyone else did was too hip-heavy, so I came up with my own (see photo):
3 rounds for time:
- 60 doubleunders
- 40 situps
- 20 pullups
Time: 16:23. It was a lot harder than I was expecting! My upper body felt tired from all the rope climbs I did on Saturday.
