Thursday evening, I flew to Burlington, Vermont for a ski trip with a group of friends. Great weekend—we skiied at Stowe (me cross-country, everyone else downhill), explored Burlington, went on a couple brewery tours and relaxed in our penthouse suite. I snapped this photo on Friday as I thawed out from skate skiing. Side note, if you’re ever looking for an awesome outdoor winter workout, try XC skiing. I was surprised at how tired my back, shoulders and tris were after a cumulative three hours on the trails.
I never logged my two workouts from before my trip last week because I was feeling incredibly frustrated by my hip pain. And now that my mental state has improved I don’t even remember what I did. Luckily, the burning has subsided and now is just an ache, so hopefully this was just another small bump in the long road to recovery.
