Warmup:

  • 400 meter run…in 22-degree weather. That did not warm me up. In fact, I felt worse afterward. Boo!
  • KB Swing Practice - Snatches, Pushup Press, 1 Arm Swings, Deadlifts

WOD—15-minute AMRAP:

  • 9 deadlifts (155/105)
  • 12 hand-release pushups
  • 15 jump-over-bar

6 rounds + 9 deadlifts Rx.

Well, I can still say that I’ve done 100% of my WODs as Rx’ed this year! My quads are ridiculously sore from yesterday’s overhead squats, so those deadlifts were tough today.

After class, I worked on handstand pushups in preparation for Hail to the Queen. I had never done them without an abmat under my head, but today I strung 5 in a row! And they felt kind of easy! It was all about figuring out how to get some momentum from frog-kicking my legs. Victory!

  1. dontapologise said: Woo for rxing all your workouts this year, me too! HSPU are a big goal of mine… One of many, bodyweight stuff for me sucks, give me a barbell and im fine! Go girl! Also it is around 100 degrees here (36c), so we start warm!
